Mending Spirits is committed to the well-being of all cats, especially when it comes to preventing unwanted pregnancies. Managing community cat populations through programs like TNR helps reduce the number of kittens and cats entering shelters and rescues, making a real difference for animals in need. While we do not offer a TNR program ourselves, we understand its importance and have compiled links below to local organizations that provide TNR support in our area.
Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) Resources:
For Pets of Mankato - For Pets is a non-profit organization located in Mankato, MN. They are dedicated to providing low cost spaying or neutering and pet food for those who need it in the Mankato, MN area.
Camp Companion -Founded in 2003 as a 501c3 organization who has stepped outside the traditional approach to Humane Society with their aggressive spay/neuter program that targets farm, feral and stay cats. We believe we can improve the lives of feral cats and benefit the towns and communities they exist in through a program called TNR: Trap-Neuter-Return
Pet Project Rescue - Pet Project Rescue has been a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit since 2008. PPR’s mission is to end animal homelessness and suffering by focusing on reducing the homeless animal population at its source through our free spay/neuter clinics for animals both in our local MN community and in Mexico. PPR believes that all animals deserve a loving and healthy life. To fully provide for animals in need, we dedicate our time and energy to help dogs and cats locally and beyond by providing free vet care for low-income communities while also striving to make Minneapolis a no-kill city!
MNSNAP - Registered 501c3 non-profit since 2010 and Minnesota's only year-round spay/neuter mobile clinic! Low-cost spay and neuter services are available for feral, barn, community or free-roaming cats to caregivers with no income qualifications.
Animal Humane Society - AHS provides low-cost services to individuals and organizations that do TNR in our community. Call us at 763-489-7729 for more information.
Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary - Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which also provides affordable spay and neuter options for farm cats and adult cats of local low-income families thanks to Dr. Beverly Stephenson's Spay Neuter Program.
