THE BRIDGE BETWEEN; FOR ANIMALS IN NEED.
Note from Directors:
Thank you for checking out our website. We are a 501(c)3 100% volunteer foster based rescue located in Mankato, Minnesota that strives to save as many animal lives as possible. Please know that we are all unpaid volunteers, we do not operate as a shelter or facility that holds regular hours of operation.
We, as a reputable rescue, strive to ensure successful pet ownership by screening our applicants to find the perfect match for each family. We fully support our alumni & pet owners abound by providing advocacy where needed and guidance to ensure lifelong co-existence.
Our rescue is solely funded on adoption fees and heart-felt donations in order to sustain the needs of the animals we serve. Overall, adoption fees contribute to 85 percent of our funding, while donations complete the remaining 15 percent. To properly sustain animals in our care we need to provide all of their essentials for their on-going care. Routinely, we provide all of our animals with vaccines, microchips, spay and neuter surgery, heartworm testing, and preventatives. Check out our pages, most importantly, our Adopt page to see how to adopt and who is looking for the perfect family.
We, lovingly, have taken on several special needs animals which have had a variety of critical medical challenges. On average, 43 percent of animals in our care have needed mending, both medically, and emotionally. Some of our special needs cases have included: seizure disorders, diabetic conditions, aging related conditions, end of life hospice care, heartworm infection, Cushing's disease, traumatic injury, physical abuse, neglect, mange, infection, starvation, disability, amputations, oral surgeries, tumor removal, extensive testing/diagnostics, parvo, distemper, dentals, and other life threatening conditions. Unfortunately, the adoption fees do not cover all the costs we incur, especially if an animal has extensive medical or behavioral needs, or resides in foster care for a long duration.
We’re always looking for volunteers, whether fostering, photography transporting, home visit assessments, event/fundraising assistance, donations, assisting routine vetting needs of our animals, assisting with animal intakes, vetting partnerships and raising awareness in general of our cause.
We look forward to hearing from you.
