DISQUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: INVOLVEMENT OR CHARGES WITH CRIMES, OFFENSES OR A CRIMINAL HISTORY AT ANY LEVEL INDICATIVE OF ANY VIOLENT OFFENSES, ANIMAL ABUSE/NEGLECT, CHILD ABUSE/NEGLECT, ABUSE/NEGLECT OF A VULNERABLE ADULT, ANY SEXUAL OFFENSES, ASSULT, THEFT, ARSON, OFFENSES INVOLVING DRUGS, NARCOTICS, CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, ROBBERY, BURGLARY, KIDNAPPING, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND OTHER CHARGES OR INVOLVEMENT WITH CRIMES THAT WE FIND CONCERNING. ALL DENIALS WILL REMAIN AT THE DIRECT DISCRETION OF MSAR STAFF.
3. Smoking indoors: We care about the health and well-being of all of our animals, not just while they are in our care but once they reach their new homes too.
4. Resident Pets: We require that all current pets in the home be up to date on routine vetting and vaccinations and altered unless medical reasons prevent you from doing so. Any medical reasons will be verified before allowing adoption.
5. We ask that our volunteers kindly commit to a minimum of 1 year volunteer availability. MSAR is 100% volunteer-based, meaning that application processing, training, and keeping contact information current becomes time consuming with many short-term volunteers.
